Growing up, having dessert after dinner wasn’t the norm. On the rare occasions dessert did happen, Apple Betty was a classic go-to, so of course, we had to veganize it!
Apple Betty is also known as an apple crisp, but we decided to keep the tradition of the name and called ours a Vegan Apple Betty. This tasty dessert couldn’t be any simpler to put together. With just over 30 minutes of total time required, it’s an easy to dessert to make in a pinch.
We tend to stick to the classic red McIntosh apple, but use whatever apples you have handy. Depending on how sweet or tart you are looking to make yours you can change up your apples, or go wild and mix a few together! The world is your orchardFor the butter, we typically use Becel Margarine since it tends to be more cost-effective, but if you prefer butter it will work too!
The next time you’re looking for a quick dessert, even if it’s to get cozy and watch Netflix, you won’t regret making Vegan Apple Betty!
