Animal Fries are one of those things that you have either never heard of, or can’t get enough of. A staple off of the In-n-Out (not so) secret menu, they are a fan favourite. So why can’t there be Vegan Animal Fries? Well, there can!
Now, if you’re a purist when it comes to your Animal Fries, you’ll know they’re supposed to be topped with pickles, but the thought of that grosses me out. So instead our Vegan Animal Fries are topped with a generous sprinkling of dill. When I read the ingredients am I kind of weirded out by this snack? Sure. But boy, is it delicious!
Anyway, back to business – I recommended using fries on the crispier side, after all you’ll top them with a whole lotta gooey goodness. The way our cheeze sauce, our ranch dressing, sauteed onions and dill come together on top of a pile of fries is really worthy of a celebration!
If you’ve never been treated to Animal Fries, don’t judge them by their random nature. Make them for your next get-together, or as a late night snack. Whatever the occasion, these Vegan Animal Fries would love to attend!
Vegan Animal Fries
- 1 bag Frozen Fries
- 1/2 cup Vegan Ranch Dressing
- 1/2 batch Cheeze Sauce Or make a full batch and freeze the other half!
- 1/2 Red Onion Roughly chopped
- 1 tbsp Olive Oil
- 2 tbsp Dried Dill
Empty bag of fries onto a lined baking sheet and cooked as directed in the baking instructions.
In a medium sized saucepan, add olive oil over medium-high heat. Once oil is hot, add the chopped onion sauteeing until the onion starts to look translucent. Remove from heat and set aside.
Once fries are done baking, place them on a large serving platter.
If the cheeze sauce is not warm, heat up in a small pot over the stove or in the microwave until heated through.
Pour cheeze sauce all over the fries until they are nicely coated.
Sprinkle sauteed onions on top of the cheeze sauce.
Using a large spoon, drizzle the ranch dressing on top of the fries until evenly distributed.
Sprinkle with the Dill.
Serve with lots of napkins and enjoy!
