Garlic powder is a substitute for fresh garlic in many dishes. It adds a subtle, sweeter garlic flavour than freshly grated or minced garlic.
Definitely part of our core spice circulation, and we often use it with onion powder to add flavour to recipes. Garlic powder tends to cross lots of culinary styles, which makes it super versatile.
We use it in everything from our Vegan Sushitos to our Mexican Street Corn, and anything in between.
It isn’t necessary a perfect replacement, but if a recipe needs crushed garlic and we don’t have any bulbs or minced garlic on hand, we can use the powder version instead.
