When it comes to summer, nothing says refreshing like pineapple. And frozen food. That’s why you need to try this Frozen Pineapple Whip!
Brigette has been on my case about recreating this recipe since we went to Hawaii back in January! Well Brigette, here it is… this Pineapple Whip is dedicated to you!
Shortly after we launched our blog, we went on a trip to Hawaii and had the most amazing time! There is so much to see and experience in Hawaii, it truly is a magical place. From beautiful hikes, surfing, picture perfect beaches, volcanoes, delicious food, tons of wildlife, rainbows at every turn and sunsets that you can only dream up, Hawaii is a must experience!
On our last day in Hawaii we took a trip to North Shore, and stopped off at the Dole Pineapple Plantation on the way. We saw so many pineapples, learned how to properly cut a pineapple, ate the juiciest most sweet pineapple, and had our first taste of their Dole Whip! The Dole Whip was so delicious and we knew we had to recreate a version to eat at home.
Our Frozen Pineapple Whip is so easy to make, it only takes 5 minutes! One thing to note is you must use frozen pineapple. You can use either a store bought frozen pineapple or a pineapple you’ve cut up and frozen. Using canned pineapple that you place in the freezer will not work and won’t taste good – we thought we would give it a try and it was a fail! Trust us!
So start blending and bask in those Hawaiian vibes with our Frozen Pineapple Whip!
Frozen Pineapple Whip
- 2 1/2 cups Frozen Pineapple
- 1/4 cup Almond Milk
- 2 tsp Lemon Juice
- 1/4 cup Maple Syrup
In a high-speed blender add the frozen pineapple, almond milk, lemon juice and maple syrup.
Blend until completely combined, stopping to scrape down the sides as the mixture will be very thick. Do not add more almond milk as the whip will become to watery, just scrape down the sides and continue blending as many times as necessary to get a thick and creamy whip.
