We decided to stop by St. Lawrence Market in Downtown Toronto, because what better way to forget the winter blues than colourful, fresh produce?
While we were here, Sigourney decided to share some great facts about some of the wonderful produce, and how you can use them in your cooking.
Living in Downtown Toronto, we’re super fortunate to be close to St. Lawrence Market. It’s a little bit of the country, in the heart of the city. Although it gets packed on the weekends, it’s fairly empty during the week which makes it perfect for a quick stop after work to grab produce. A lot of people think you need to spend a lot of money at fancy grocery stores for farm-fresh produce in the city, but it’s not the case here!
If you live in Toronto, or ever visit the city, St. Lawrence Market should definitely be on your list. Even if you don’t need to buy anything, it’s a neat experience and it’s close to lots of other fun, local attractions. Seeing the hustle and bustle on the weekends is super fun (as long as you’re not on a grocery shopping mission)!
Curious where we keep all this fresh produce? Our fridges of course! But if you’re in need of some real-life fridge inspo, check out our What’s in our Fridge Tour!
