Mmmmmm is the best way to sum up these super simple Chocolate Dipped Banana Popsicles. Summertime is all about quick and easy food that lets you to spend more time outdoors playing in the sun with friends and family. That was our mentality when we came up with this delicious treat.
This frozen dessert reminds us of a DQ Dilly Bar, but so much healthier! The frozen banana becomes so creamy that when it’s dipped in the chocolate mixture, they’ll play tricks on your taste buds.
The recipe recommends melting the chocolate in a double boiler on the stove, but you can choose to microwave instead. To do this, place the chocolate and coconut oil into a microwave-safe bowl and cook on high for 30 seconds. Remove, mix well, and place back into the microwave for 30 more seconds. Continue to do this until the chocolate is completely melted. Do not microwave for longer than 30 second increments as you will risk burning the chocolate… trust us, we’ve done this!

Chocolate Dipped Banana Popsicles
- 3 ripe Bananas Ensure they're still firm
- 1 cup Dark Chocolate Roughly chopped (70% or darker)
- 2 tbsp Coconut Oil
- 6 Popsicle Sticks
- Peanuts Chopped
- Vegan Sprinkles
- Strawberries Finely Chopped
- Pretzels Chopped
- Oreos Crushed
- Peanut Butter Drizzle
Peel bananas, cut in half and place a Popsicle stick into each. Place bananas on a lined tray and put in the freezer for 15 minutes.
Prepare toppings of choice for the bananas.
Meanwhile on the stove top place a double boiler over medium heat. Add in the chocolate and coconut oil, stirring continually until the chocolate is completely melted ensuring not to burn. Remove from heat.
Take a frozen banana and dip into the chocolate. Immediately sprinkle toppings onto each banana as the chocolate will harden right
Repeat with remaining bananas and place back on lined tray and put into the freezer for 20-30 minutes until chocolate is set.
