With spring showing its beautiful face (oh how we’ve missed you), the hunt for new coffee shops is well under way. What’s better than crisp, sunny air, and a mug full of hot latte? This weekend’s walk around the block too us to Rooster Coffee House. Aside from the lovely latte art, the shop had a lot more to offer!
We actually decided to stop here as we were on route to Big Carrot (a local grocer’s). But the desire to stop in here and been coming for a few months. The weather just hadn’t made it seem at all worth it to walk that far. So glad we did! The outside right now is unassuming, but once the patio is open this will be a regular spot.
When you head inside you are instantly in a cocoon of comfort. Mismatched furniture, antique-like decor, it’s so cute! They have a few Rooster Coffee House locations around Toronto, so we aren’t sure if they all look the same, but we like this one!
Now, we said that sunny spring days were the time for exploring, but the day in question was actually raining off and on (typical spring). But! It was still packed! There was virtually no seating, and a revolving door of people coming and going.
We know you’re eyeing up that dessert showcase. Sad to say, there didn’t appear to be anything for vegans. That said, they did have a little stand that had a couple vegan protein bars, so there’s still something! We were all about the caffeine though.
Right as we were leaving and grabbing our lids, we saw this cute little display full of treats for furry friends! Of course, you can’t bring them inside, but that patio area will certainly be a nice spot to sit with Fido and sip that coffee!
Right across from Riverdale Park, Rooster Coffee couldn’t be any cuter, and we can’t wait to make it one of our local go-to’s. And don’t forget to grab a bag to go! It’s delicious!
