We love burgers, and we love BBQ sauce. So naturally, it just made sense for us to combine these loves into one delicious recipe – our BBQ Chickpea Burgers. You may be surprised at how easy it is to make these patties. It makes enough that it’s definitely a “prep once, eat multiple times” type of meal. And who doesn’t love meal prep?
You’ll need to remember to freeze these burgers for an hour to make sure they bind together, but the prep time comes in at 30 minutes, which we think is perfect for those busy summer days. The best part? They’re good in the freezer for up to 4 weeks, so why not double your batch?
If you’re feeling ambitious, you can also make your own oat flour for these BBQ Chickpea Burgers, just take a cup of old-fashioned oats and put them in a blender! We just find it easier to buy the flour in bulk, and then it’s always on-hand!
Burgers are great for summer parties because anyone can dress them up as we please, but we like our classic toppings with that smokey BBQ sauce on top.
So start mixing and get grilling!
